Mark Ellingham
Backstory
Mark Studied ‘Technical Stage Management’ for 2 years at West Cheshire College, during which time he freelanced for several local theatre companies.
Moving on to H.E, Mark studied on a HND in Film & TV Design for two years at The North Wales School of Art & Design & then moved on to join the ‘BA(hons)Design: Moving Image’ course.
After Graduation in 2003 he incorporated Chat Noir Productions Ltd, with friend & business partner Daniel Fox. While Chat Noir Productions was in it’s infancy – Mark sat on the management team of one of Britain’s largest visitor attractions with the upkeep & maintenance of the attraction’s Audio Visual systems within his ambit.
Over the next few years Mark turned his skills to working in various freelance positions on high profile TV shows such as Hollyoaks, Doctors and Primeval.
As Chat Noir Productions began to steadily grow, he resigned from the management role, lessened his TV work & dedicated more time as Technical Director of Chat Noir to driving the business forward.
These Days
He can usually be found with a camera against his eye or, more likely, staring at a computer screen while working on the latest Chat Noir commissions.
